Skip Barber Racing School Participates in Federation Internationale De l’Automobile (FIA) MotorEx Mexico Conference and FIA Sport Conference
Braselton, GA (July 7, 2015) – Skip Barber Racing School is excited to participate in the third annual FIA Sport Conference taking place July 8-10, 2015 in Mexico City, Mexico.
The first edition of the FIA Sport Conference was held in Goodwood (UK), in June 2013. The event, initiated by the FIA President and the Deputy President for Sport and based on the concept developed several years ago by the Mobility branch of the FIA, was a huge success. It enabled more than 74 ASNs and 250 delegates from all over the world to exchange ideas and to work together on common topics and issues, to meet the main protagonists in motor sport as well as FIA senior management and staff members.
The third iteration of the event is the first conference to be held outside Europe and will allow attendees to explore business and development in motorsports, looking at models both in the Americas and rest of the world.
In 2014, Skip Barber Racing School and Mexico’s OMDAI were awarded the highest level of accreditation in the Federation Internationale De l’Automobile (FIA) Institute’s Young Driver Safety Programme which qualified the two organizations to become Regional Training Providers (RTPs) for young drivers. Skip Barber Racing School is the only motorsports education company in the United States to earn this accreditation.
Additionally, earlier this year, one of Skip Barber Racing School’s most active alumnus Bryan Herta was awarded FIA’s Americas Award for his exceptional motorsports career.
Skip Barber Racing School’s Chairman, Michael Culver, will participate on a panel Key Successes in America. “We are honored to be participating the the FIA Sport Conference. I have attended the first two annual conferences and am very impressed with the devotion to growing motorsports around the world exhibited by FIA.”
Events lined up for the three day conference will include interactive and plenary sessions, as well as pit stop activities and simulation challenges.
