Skip Barber Racing School LLC Donates to Katrina Relief Effort

Skip Barber Racing School LLC, the world leader in automotive education and training, will donate over $9,000 to the American Red Cross as part of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The donation was announced following a Skip Barber Race Series event at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
Skip Barber will turn over all proceeds from the Mid-Ohio weekend’s final race as well as individual racer and Skip Barber employee contributions. While the pledge to date stands at $9,190, the amount donated may be slightly higher. The company has a history of supporting charitable causes. Over the past five years, Skip Barber has donated over $100,000 annually to national charities and fundraising events.
“The devastation in the Gulf Region is unprecedented. As a National company with operations in the South, we felt its impact and wanted to be part of the relief and rebuilding effort,” said George Ayres, President and Chief Operating Officer of Skip Barber LLC.
