Skip Barber Racing School and Derek Daly Academy Sign Partnership Agreement

Nobelsville, IN and Lakeville, CT – The Derek Daly Academy and Skip Barber Racing School are pleased to announce the creation of a new partnership. Effective immediately, Skip Barber Racing School will become the first Trusted Partner of the Derek Daly Academy as the Official Racing School. The Derek Daly Academy becomes the Official Driver Development and Environment Management partner for Skip Barber Racing School providing onsite support by Derek Daly himself at several SBRS events in 2010, 2011 and beyond. The first event will be the 14th annual Skip Barber Karting Shootout being held at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca on December 3rd – 6th, 2010. That event will be followed by the opening round of the 2011 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda and a mid season date, TBD.

Skip Barber Racing School provides an important first step on the Mazda Motorsports Development Ladder. Derek Daly and Skip Barber provide time proven learning and education integrated into a highly competitive environment with the help of great partners Mazda and BFGoodrich. Skip Barber racing programs range from 3-day license courses to advanced driving programs, to regional and national “arrive & drive” racing, all suited to the weekend enthusiast and to future racing stars.
DDA sees a great fit with Skip Barber, as they take young racing athletes from karts into the world of car racing. DDA looks to guide racing drivers through the Champions Pyramid and work with many of today’s top rising motorsports athletes to become the best they can be in their sport and career. Not a traditional Academy, DDA looks to break mould and works directly with drivers where they race and when they race.
