Skip Barber Racing School Alumni Takeover Honda Grand Prix at St. Petersburg

More than 50 Skip Barber Racing School Alumni Competing at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg  

BRASELTON, Ga. (March 22, 2013) – Skip Barber Racing School congratulates it’s graduates who are racing this weekend in the Honda Grand Prix on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, the opening round of the IZOD IndyCar Series.

Top drivers from around the world will compete in hopes of challenging defending IZOD IndyCar Series Champion Ryan Hunter-Reay. In addition to Hunter-Reay, another 11 Skip Barber Racing School alumni will compete in the IZOD IndyCar Series race. 

More than 50 alumni will be racing across all of the series in St. Petersburg this weekend. As the first step on the Mazda Road to Indy, Skip Barber Racing School has taught, trained and helped develop 17 of the 31 entrants in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Series. Alumni will also compete in the Pirelli World Challenge, Firestone Indy Lights and Pro Mazda series. The 38 year tradition of training and developing the top talent in motorsports will be on display all weekend long in St. Petersburg.
