Two qualifying sessions, two poles for Sage Karam

Lakeville, Conn. (Oct. 9) – It’s an all-MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development front row for Saturday’s final race of the 2009 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda. In cool, wet conditions Sage Karam picked up his second pole of the weekend. The Nazareth, Penn. driver clocked in with a 1:10.522 sec. to take his second career Skip Barber National pole. Outside the front row is Dennis Trebing, who missed the quick time of the session by .153 sec. Sean Rayhall and Isaac Lyons make up Row 2 with the third MAZDASPEED driver, Court Vernon, rounding out the top five. Point leader Connor De Phillippi will roll off seventh for tomorrow’s race with a best lap of 1:11.759.

The session was not without its problems for Karam, who crashed in the uphill at the very end of the session. Karam climbed out unhurt and the car should be ready for Race 1 this afternoon.
