Skip Barber Karting Scholarship Shoot-out

< Back 01/13/2006

Friday, January 13, 2006 A total of 59 karters from North America converged on Sebring International Raceway’s two-mile ”Modified” circuit to vie for more than $100,000 in scholarships to race in the 2006 Skip Barber National Presented by RACER and/or the Skip Barber Regional Race Series. Day one was autocross and skidpad in performance street cars, followed by each driver getting on track in the R/T 2000 for a 25-minute session.

The lens couldn’t catch all 59 drivers during the first drivers’ meeting — but you get the idea…

There’s no doubt everybody’s trying hard to win one of the 2006 paid seats.

As you might imagine, pitlane was — and will be — a very busy place all three days of the Shoot-out.

There is a lot at stake. Who will win the top prize?.

Below is the complete entry list for the 2006 (ninth annual) Skip Barber Karting Scholarship Shoot-out. Drivers in bold were part of the ”Sweet 16” pre-nominated drivers who already earned a $4,000 scholarship to get to the Shoot-out.
