SBNC Mont-Tremblant: Practice 1 & 2, Lap Times

< Back 07/22/2005

Friday, July 22, 2005 MONT-TREMBLANT, Que., Can. (July 22) – Skip Barber National Championship Presented by RACER points leader Gerardo Bonilla was quickest in both practice sessions today for this weekend’s races at 2.65-mile Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant. “It’s always about putting the little things together,” Bonilla said. “Where you look, processing the info the car gives you, knowing how the BFGs react. For me, every lap’s a flyer!”

Winston de Wardt did a great job, putting up fifth-quickest time in both sessions.

We’ll leave the driver unidentified — for now — but he’s now on the short list to be hired by one of the local golf courses’ greenskeeper….

072205c
Unlike Road America, Mont-Tremblant is less about the draft and more about smoothness and momentum. Something of which Bonilla knows a little bit about.

072205d
Jordy Vorrath is right there, so far. He was P2 in session one and P3 in the second.

072205e
VarshaVarsha (that’s Matt Varsha, by the way), on the other hand, was P3 and P2, respectively. Is his first win in the cards this weekend?
