The Regional Races Series is open to Skip Barber Racing Three Day Racing School graduates, plus any other qualified race driver. That is, if you've graduated from another accredited professional racing school, or you already have a documented racing history, you are also eligible to enter the Race Series after meeting some pre-requisites.

If you haven't yet done so, be sure to click on the six-minute video, "The Next Step"; it will give a fine synopsis of what to expect!

Having completed the Three Day Racing School, you probably now see that competitive racing is more accessible than you thought. To ensure that you are comfortable and ready to enter your first race weekend, all new racers must practice. That means before you roll out for your first starting grid there are some pre-requisites you need to complete. These pre-requisite courses are part of what's called Advanced Activities.

Advanced Activities teach you how to be safe and consistent. What's great is that the speed comes naturally as you follow our proven path. (Note: At all Race Weekends, we group the drivers based on their experience and speed, so that you race with drivers of similar aptitude.) The pre-requisites to join the Regional Race Series is simple: We want to see you complete two on-track programs ("Advanced Activities") before you enter your first Race Weekend.

Those can be:

These are minimum requirements and Skip Barber Racing reserves the right to require additional track time for some drivers before they enter a Race Weekend.

Regional Race Series Costs:

Race Weekend: $2,999
A Skip Barber Regional "Race Weekend" includes all Saturday and Sunday (Friday and Saturday at Lime Rock Park, Conn.) track time: Qualifying, warm-ups, two races.

Practice: $1,199
This is the Friday track time (Thursday at Lime Rock Park), consisting of approximately 80 miles of lapping, with feedback and coaching after every session. All your laps are timed by our Timing & Scoring staff. "Practice" is mandatory for first-time racers, optional for experienced drivers.

Lapping: $1,099
This is the generally available Monday-through-Thursday track time (Monday through Wednesday at Lime Rock Park, Conn.). Approximately 100 miles of "Lapping," with feedback and coaching after every session. Laps are not timed.

Lead-Follow: $1,249
Guaranteed to take big chunks off your lap times. Generally available during the Lapping- and Practice Days that precede Race Weekends. You get your own personal ‘‘lead/follow’’ coach for a 30-minute on-track session. Both Skip Barber F2000 race cars have two-way radios. On the race track, follow the instructor nose-to-tail and learn where to precisely brake, turn-in, apex and track-out. Instant feedback via the radios, plus sit-down time after the session.

All drivers have limited damage liability for all Advanced Activities, including Advanced Two Day Racing Schools, Advanced Car Controls, Lapping, Lead-Follow, Practice and Race Weekends. Your School & Series Advisor can provide details on those limits and the required refundable deposits.
