Thursday, April 14, 2005 LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Skip Barber Racing School, LLC, announced April 13 the appointment of George Ayres as President and Chief Operating Officer. Ayres comes to Skip Barber from Ford Motor Company where he most recently led Sales and Marketing for the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT). Ayres has also held senior positions at Jaguar Cars both in the U.S. and the U.K. and worked extensively in Ford’s Customer Service Division. He will begin his assignment on May 2 at Skip Barber’s Lakeville, Conn., headquarters.
After an extensive search, Ayres was selected as the best candidate to help lead the Skip Barber team in further growing its business. He brings strategic and operational skills to the company that will allow Skip Barber to expand its capabilities and range of services, and connect new customers with the Skip Barber brand.
