Pigot Continues on Top in Jersey

< Back 07/16/2010

Friday, July 16, 2010 The drivers of the 2010 BF Goodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda braved the heat once again at New Jersey Motorsports Park this afternoon for their second qualifying session of the weekend. The session was a constant on-track version of musical chairs as the young drivers all tried to get into good positions to maximize the draft.

Spencer Pigot claimed his second California Scents Pole Position award of the day, and his fourth of the season, earning a point for each and extending his championship lead. Isaac Lyons caught a draft off Nick Andries in one of the final laps and will start in the second position Sunday morning for Round 10. Felix Serralles, Nick Andries and Dennis Trebing completed the top five.
