Midwest Race Series Finale

Thursday, September 29, 2005 Midwest Finale
Coming into the finale weekend at Road America Sept. 30 – Oct. 2, title-wise nothing is set in stone and anything can happen. The Greist father/son duo is trying to capture the 2005 Championship Group and Masters titles; if they do it, that would be two years in a row. Son Revere has a bigger lead over Charles Anti than Father John has over Michael Gomez, but both will have their hands full for the last two races of the series. In Sportsman, Steve Albondi and Gomez are going to be duking it out.

In the Triple Crown chases in the Midwest, Anti is just a hair in front of Jonathan Gore and Jonathan Frost in Championship, while Dirk Daems, Ablondi and Mike Kolacki are equally close in Sportsman. The Masters TC is lead by Daems, with Kolacki and Michael Gomez right behind.

Whatever the outcomes of all the titles at stake at Road America, one thing’s for sure — Sunday night at Siebkens during the banquet festivities, the Jagermeister will be flowing like you read about…

Revere Greist is being chased by Charles Anti for the overall Midwest title.

Road America is a drafting track. And that means close, exciting races that are often not decided until the last lap or two.

Will we see first-time winners this weekend? My bet is yes…
