Lyons Takes Second Pole of Lime Rock Park Weekend

< Back 05/31/2010

Monday, May 31, 2010 Dennis Trebing and Trent Hindman started off the qualifying session for round eight of the BF Goodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda at Lime Rock Park with fast laps, but ultimately yesterday’s pole and race winner Isaac Lyons would clinch the pole. For almost half of the session, Trent Hindman looked to be starting from pole position for this afternoon’s race, but with less than two minutes in the qualifying session, Lyons grabbed the lead with a 56.877 second lap.

The session was delayed for several minutes when Abdul Ahmed had contact with a wall on the uphill of the 1.53 mile track. He got out of the car on his own accord, and will be running in this afternoon’s race.

Championship leader Spencer Pigot will be starting behind Lyons and Hindman and will be sure to put up a solid fight for the win this afternoon.
